Interrupted Recordings... massive ram usage

I have started using channels dvr on my Synology NAS in docker on a Synology DS220+ with 18GB ram. I have recorded several programs without incident but trying to record some NFL football games have two recordings showing Interrupted. These recordings will not play and my husband is not happy to miss his football games. Docker is shows over 15GB of ram in use for Channels! Seems maybe memory leak? Wondering if commercial detection could be to blame? Has this been reported by anyone else?

Hmmm no don’t think so. Can you share some screenshots or pictures of where you are seeing the extreme memory usage?

Please click Support > Submit Diagnostics on your dvr. Docker may be reporting virtual memory usage, but I am not sure what numbers you're referring to.

Are you recording from TVE, Locast, HDHR CONNECT or PRIME?

Logs were submitted as 35b75b7d-6eae-44df-9b78-a322ab078838.

Ram usage has gone down a bit to under 11GB but still way more than I would expect:

The DVR itself is only reporting 24mb usage so I suspect some other processes are maybe zombies inside the container. Are you able to connect to it and get a process list?

As far as the Seahawks game, it looks like poor antenna signal on 25.1

Also I am running both HDHR Connect and Locast. I am not sure if the football games were recorded from HDHR or Locast.

I am able to open a shell within the Docker for ChannelsDVR but the ps -e only shows Channels running. So not sure that its actually showing all processes.

how about ps aux or pstree

So I had already restarted docker container and usage was back to normal at 160mb... but then just jumped to 6GB. I set the limit on the docker container this time to 8000mb (was not limited previously).

I am thinking for tomorrow's football games I will ensure the Locast is preferred (so antenna signal shouldn't be an issue) and turn off commercial detection. Since the football games are generally watched while they are still being recorded, I think its probably a waste of resources for commercial detection since I believe it runs after the entire game is recorded.

Hm I was hoping ps aux would show the process memory usage (RSS and VSIZE). I guess the version in the container doesn't show that.
