I’m using Channels on my Apple TV 3rd gen and files played from the library stutter every few seconds. Here’s a video of what I’m seeing: https://youtu.be/j6ngcqbaQKA.
The videos play fine on my iPhone 14 Pro and my Apple TV 4K (5th Gen).
I tried changing to the legacy video and audio player and it did not help. I also tried changing to 8mbps streaming or Original. Still seeing the same issue.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Yeah. That hardware is pretty old (assuming its not a typo and you mean the non 4k appletv) Best to replace it...
Other media players like Plex and Emby can play content like this just fine. I tried with the exact same file and it works fine so I don’t think it’s a hardware issue.
With channels when you get something that old you will have issues... many in the forum have had similar issues like yours.
This may help you but keep in mind that device is 12 years old.
