Sorry to change the subject - I have 2 x Onn TV HDs and 3 x FireTV 4K Max sticks plugged into the LinkPi - the black levels on the 2 Onn TV sticks are noticeably darker on the LinkPi - I am not aware of any significant difference in the setup for the devices and the LinkPi settings are identical for all 5 inputs - can anyone explain?
See if my old post helps.
Thanks! Changing Firesticks to YCbCr/12 bit/HDR off makes black levels match the Onn HD's when viewing on a PC - Viewing on 4K/UHD TVs can conceal the difference if the "Always HDR" (or similarly named feature) is turned on

Yea I won't be in a hurry to upgrade my 5 tuner model...I have told them in the past on their website if they want to do something worth everyone buying then give us a unit that can capture MORE than stereo!

Hi, wondering if anyone could help. I've had the Enc1Pro for a few months now and unfortunately I'm still having a couple of issues.
The first issue that no matter what I do, my audio output is stuck at 32kbps despite it being set to 320kbps in the dashboard.
The Second issue im hoping may fix the first but unfortunately the encoder will not upgrade to the latest update "update_enc1pro_20250630" it is stuck at 0% when trying to update directly on the dashboard and if I try to download the update to my desktop and upload it to the encoder it just returns a 500 internal error.
I have linked a post that one of the devs made on the forum with my settings from when I emailed them directly asking for help on the audio issues but unfortunately there's been no response.
Any help would be appreciated.
I didn't see a change when I updated mine. Or maybe I just had it at defaults...
Thanks for posting when the new firmware's are out, I have to change some firewall rules to get the updates.
Have you tried using CBR instead of VBR? Also make sure your audio output on your device is set to stereo manually.
Thanks for the response, Ive changed the encoding to CBR and tried changing from AAC to MPEG2 and MP3 but it still sounds bad and I also have a "Bits per sample" of 32 but it says the bitrate is 320kbps. It still sounds like voices are spoken through a clipping speaker. I've checked my device settings that are being streamed and its stereo audio and I've tried both PCM and RAW audio but it sounds the same unfortunately.
Hi all,
I have the following setup:
- 6x Hikvision CCTV cameras (RTSP)
- All 6 decoding channels added to the LinkPI decoder
- All streams added to a Mix channel
After some time (around 5 minutes), I notice that the video gets delayed, sometimes up to 5 minutes behind real-time. Occasionally I also see a green screen for a few seconds.
Did anyone experience a similar issue with LinkPI or Hikvision streams?
Any tips or suggestions to fix this are very welcome!
What I have tried so far:
- Using the latest firmware:
- App version: 4.2.1 build 20250630_2863
- SDK version: 4.2.1 build 20250630_30167
- Sys version: 4.2.2 build 20250630
- Checked network cables and switches (all wired, no WiFi)
- Reduced resolution and bitrate on the cameras
- Set GOP (I-frame interval) to 2 seconds on all cameras
Any other ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Are you saying this is on the individual streams or on the Mix feed? How are you doing your viewing -- via CDVR?
@SF10 , I'm not much for troubleshooting of this kind. But, I offer that I use these audio settings without problem. I wonder if it is possible that you may have a bad HDMI cable or loose connection between the tuner and LinkPi.
Thanks for the advice. I've just tried these settings exactly including the 128kbps and when I pull up the codec details on VLC and it's still reporting 32 bits per sample. I'm stumped as to what has caused it. next is to replace all the cables but I don't think this is the issue as its worked fine with the uRay Coder...
