Log into Server from another computer on Network

3 year user here, but just made some changes.

How do I login to the server settings from a different compute, on the same local network? I had it before but with a new PC, can not figure it out. Did lots of searches.

FYI -server and other computer are both MAC.

In your browser use the IP address and port of the Channels DVR Server machine

Thanks.

Left off the 8089

MEANWHILE - I noticed something else. Under "Network Discover", it shows two networks. All the same other than the last few numbers. ??

You may have both wired (ethernet network cable) and wireless (WiFi) enabled.
Recommend disabling WiFi on the Mac and using wired networking.

Unfortunately disabling Wi-Fi entirely prevents other useful services like Continuity, Handoff, Universal Control and AirPlay from working properly, so instead what I’d recommend is leaving Wi-Fi enabled and connected but with TCP/IP (IPv4) set to OFF. There’s an easy pulldown menu for this under “Details…”

Thanks for comment... but since this MAC is only used for Channels, not having any of those things might not be an issue?

Probably. I use AirDrop with my CDVR Mac mini server though.

Now, at least you know if you do decide to use those features there’s a way to enable their functionality as well.
