Malformed m3u8

Hello new here. Trying to create a custom channel with this url which plays in VLC

https://fl1002.bozztv.com/ssh101/throwbackstream/tracks-v1a1/mono.m3u8

Trying to add as an hls stream.
I get an error message that says malformed url. Any ideas where I’m going wrong ?

You can't add an m3u8 directly; it needs to be inside an m3u. See this:

An m3u8 needs to be in an m3u to function. In Channels, you can reference an m3u as a URL, a local file, or text directly. Without any particular details about your situation, I would say the text method is your best option. Here is an example where I use an m3u8 in just such a way: Be sure you put #EXTM3U at the beginning so it ends up looking something like this: [image]

Thanks a million. I got my hls stream playing. Looks great. Now I need to make a custom guide for one channel in which I can enter the day and time for each program (as there is no guide except on a piece of paper ). I think I need to make a custom xmltv file. I see some reference in the custom channel set up, but it fuzzy. Any tips for me here? The guide would only contain the name of the show, and duration for each day. No episode info.

If you want to know how to set up an XML EPG, your best bet is to look at an existing one and replicate/add/remove within it to your specifications. nocords.xyz has a very easy one to read:
