Always dealing with a full fire stick.

Not really. Just beware that USB speeds aren't great, and while anecdotal, my experience when using Channels offloaded to USB was that the app would frequently crash.
Granted, that was just my experience, and from several years ago; things may have improved. So, give it a try, and report back with your own experience.
so far so go. no crashes.
I have been using the Channels app on usb memory for my Firesticks for several years. Some of memory devices didn't work well, kept getting excessive pauses while watching live TV. For my 1st Gen Firestick 4k Max devices, I settled on Samsung Fit 128GB memory and simple interface cables. For two years now I have been using the 2nd Gen Firestick 4k Max devices and even though they have double the memory, I still like to run Channels app on external usb memory. But the Samsung memory didn't work well with these units, so I found Vansuny 128GB memory that was faster. But it didn't work with the simple OTG cable, I had to use a 4 in 1 interface. It has been working fine for nearly two years now. The total cost of conversion was as much as the original Firestick, so probably not a very smart buy. Especially since the 2nd Gen Firestick Max had enough memory to run everything that I needed.
Thanks for the update. I'm using OTG cables and a San disk 128mb usb3.0 and it's been great so far no issues.
