Moving DVR Application to another windows computer

Hi :slight_smile:

I would like to install Channell DVR on a new window computer that is more powerful than the one I am using now. But I do not want to lose all the recordings I have.

What would be the steps to follow to migrate my recordings from a windows server to another windows server ?

  1. Shut down your DVR, by clicking on the tray icon and selecting Exit

  2. Move your DVR drive to the new computer (or copy/move files)

  3. Install DVR on the new computer

  4. Instead of setting up the new DVR, visit http://127.0.0.1:8089/restore and follow the steps to restore your recordings and settings from the files you moved over

You should also uninstall the DVR from the old computer once finished, so it doesn’t start up again when you reboot and confuse the apps. The uninstall instructions are available on Uninstall Windows?
