Any idea how to do it on a Time Capsule? Networking is not my thing!!

I’ve got Public UDP Ports, Public TCP Ports, Private IP Address, Private UDP Ports, and Private TCP Ports…assuming I’m on the correct set-up page :joy:

Side note, is the iPad Mini 3 not supported? It has a 64bit CPU.

I get Tuner Unavailable as well if I try to watch live TV via cellular. Haven’t tested over WiFi from a non-home network. My WebUI settings are set to hardware transcoding and hardware deinterlacing.

Private IP: (ip of your DVR machine)

All 64-bit devices running iOS 9.3 or later are supported.

Added it but get the same problem…‘DVR Access Failure. Unable to connect or authorise remove DVR server’.

I just set deinterlacer to hardware as well. Still it spins then states “Tuner not Available”.

Thanks. Can you try turning on the EXTEND transcoder (click on the HDHR on the iOS settings tab and switch transcoder to mobile) and see if it works then.

Logs show that your server is not accessible, so the port forward is not working. Make sure the web UI works remotely and then the app should work as well.

Web UI is now working (it’s really been intermittent) but the app still doesn’t work. I’ve tried restarting.

I switched the DVR back to my Shield to test this, but I’m getting “Tuner Not Available.” From my Synology it worked, but the CPU on that is basically crap for transcoding so it didn’t work well.

Try updating to latest DVR build for remote live tv fix.

if you manually did port forwarding on the router, did you remember to uncheck “Enable Remote Access” on the DVR?

that caused me problems early on.

I just noticed that when I am remote and can’t see the tuners and DVR, that screen (I think it mentions demo mode) has text on top of text on my iPhone and makes it kinda unreadable.

Anyway with the new feature in the beta, can we move the remote features up there?
Every time I see that I think “now what”? And have to remember to scroll down for the option.

Force updated and tried to play a few channels and it works on cellular. I was getting 30Mbps so I changed the quality around and they all either increased or decreased the quality the way I thought it would. I’ll try stressing it when I’m not running my weekend backups to the cloud.

Remote live TV from the app now works for me on DVR 2017.07.29.2103.
