Often cannot resume where I left off while watching a recording in progress

I'll set the table:

I have the Red Sox game recording, and I start watching it a little while after it starts. After watching the game for a while, I leave it and go watch a different show (live channel) for a while. I go back to the Red Sox game to resume where I left off, but instead of resuming where I last left off, I get a black screen and the scrubber marker showing that it's currently at some ridiculous time marker (like, in the area of 1500 minutes) with a spinning wheel next to it. Pressing the play/pause button does nothing. Leaving the recording and going back does nothing, and force closing the app and going back in does nothing. The only thing that seems to do anything is pressing fast forward once, which kicks me back to the very beginning of the recording.

This has happen numerous times on different shows from different channels, of varying lengths. It only seems to happen when watching a recording as it's being recorded. Completed recordings have no issues. I've been able to recreate the issue on both the current public release of Channels as well as the current beta release (as of 6/19/17). I'm including a photo of the issue occurring.

Side note: I have not been able to recreate this problem with the web viewer, only the ATV app.
