OTA dropping frames

OTA dropping massive amount of frames. Started happening several weeks ago (during Olympics is when I first noticed). Consistently happens on any OTA station if I leave it playing for an hour or so. In this screenshot, I was recording a live event, watching it maybe half hour behind live, and it started dropping frames to the point where audio and video were out of sync by 30 seconds or more. The recording seems to be fine (I can scrub back and it starts playing back great again).

OTA has always been iffy in channels IME. i had frame/audio dropouts, and another issue where i need to rewind to give it some extra buffer or i'll get audio skipping. works fine in HD homerun app. recently i've seen the bad signal message when my signal is in fact fine per the HD homerun config tool.

i opened a thread with videos of the issues and was told it must be my signal. expect the same here.

I have issues with frame and audio dropouts on both of my Firestick Max 4K's. Both on OTA HDHR and on HDDR Prime channels. This would happen several times a day every day. I live with an 86yr old who watches CNBC religiously! I would have to back out of the channel then click on it again to fix it. We started using the HD Homerun app and we don't have any of the same issues. Because of that I'm sure it's not a signal issue. I don't have the same issues with my recordings I watch on my Shield Pro. I hardly ever watch live TV on my Shield, but when I do I don't have the same issues as on the Firestick's.

I also have an IPTV account as a source which is all web based h.264 & h.265. I am unsure if we have the same issues with those channels. I think I'm going to drop the Prime off of my Channels server and just use the IPTV source for a month to see if it works any better...I mainly use the IPTV for the Dodgers games. It's cheaper to use Channels & IPTV over the outrageous price the cable company charges for them!

@maddox @tmm1 does anyone have time to look into this?
