I noticed today that the DIY network is throwing a "Playback Failed" error using my Philo credentials. Is anyone else seeing this?
Happening on both my Synology NAS and my Win10 version.

What shows in your Channels DVR log when you try to tune the channel?
Is it this (Xfinity/DIY on v2021.08.22.2127 here)

Looks like their site has changed just like science
Yep, once you get there you need to click the On Now video https://watch.diynetwork.com/channel/diy-network
I cannot watch live through the new DIY website when linked to Philo-- "This video is from a network that's not included in your TV package." DIY does work from the Philo website directly. Wonder if this is just a website transition bug or is Philo losing DIY. Certainly possible since Discovery is rebranding DIY and its a big focus of Discovery+.
I'm guessing this.
Works for me w/Xfinity, but lots of pauses, redirection going on in the background before I can click the video to play what's On Now.
Try going here first https://watch.diynetwork.com/live-now
Then Click the On Now LIVE video which asks you to pick your provider
If I go directly to this site first https://watch.diynetwork.com/channel/diy-network I get that error
This Video Is Not Available
This video is from a network that's not included in your TV package. Please contact your TV provider to update your package. For additional help and troubleshooting, please visit https://gohelp.discovery.com/. ERROR CODE: SONIC-API: MISSING PACKAGE
That is exactly what I did. Cannot playback DIY live content from their site when linked to Philo. (I no longer have Xfinity to test.) Whether a mistake or not remains to be seen, but the packages enabled by a Philo login have changed:
Packages as of Aug 16:
Free,Registered,InvestigationDiscovery,AmericanHeroes,AnimalPlanet,DiscoveryLife,OprahWinfrey,HomeAndGarden,Tlc,Travel,Science,MotorTrend,FoodNetwork,DiyNetwork,Discovery,Cooking,DestinationAmerica
Packages as of Today:
AmericanHeroes, AnimalPlanet, DestinationAmerica, Discovery, DiscoveryFamilyGo, DiscoveryLife, Free, HomeAndGarden, InvestigationDiscovery, MotorTrend, OprahWinfrey, Registered, Science, Tlc
Note that DIY Network is now missing. This is from one of their new APIs that lets you query what "packages" your account is entitled to.
And Cooking is also gone and indeed no longer works from Philo linked DIY/Science channel websites (though still from the legacy watch.cookingchannel.com website). Seems like we might be glimpsing the future.
That makes it looks like they added Discovery Family and dropped Cooking, Diy, Food and Travel.
Yikes-- and indeed, those are all display "Network Not in Your TV Package" when clicking on them on DIY/Science websites when linked to Philo.
Had a long chat with a Philo rep. They are escalating to their tier-2. Hopefully this is just a configuration bug related to the website rollout. Losing Food Network and Cooking Channel would significantly reduce the value of Philo for me.
Philo has has Discovery Family in their app since i started using it years ago.
But, that channel does not TVE stream I was told.
Very interesting point. Those descriptors are internal Discovery so unclear exactly how they match (though most seem obvious). There is another API that returns the channel available via the new sites:
161: TLC (tlc) (package=Tlc)
162: FOOD (food-network) (package=FoodNetwork)
163: DSC (discovery) (package=Discovery)
164: DLF (discovery-life) (package=DiscoveryLife)
165: IDS (investigation-discovery) (package=InvestigationDiscovery)
166: SCI (science) (package=Science)
167: APL (animal-planet) (package=AnimalPlanet)
168: OWN (own) (package=OprahWinfrey)
169: DAM (destination-america) (package=DestinationAmerica)
170: VEL (motortrend) (package=MotorTrend)
171: AHC (ahc) (package=AmericanHeroes)
172: HGTV (hgtv) (package=HomeAndGarden)
173: DIY (diy-network) (package=DiyNetwork)
174: COOK (cooking-channel) (package=Cooking)
175: TRAV (travel-channel) (package=Travel)
The channels are the possible live options, but ability to watch is via the package entitlements. To your point, DiscoveryFamilyGo is likely a non-TVE entitlement and maybe what controls access via the Philo app. Presumably Free means viewable without registration and Registration means viewable with website registration.
As of 8/24/2021 6pm Eastern, I cannot get DIY through channels, but Cooking, Travel, Food all are working in Channels. DIY is working in the Philo app itself.
Unlikely Philo would be dropping any channels.
The new streaming site uses a new auth backend, and Philo likely just needs to update the auth info they're sending over to discovery to allow TVE access.
Appears that Discovery Family and Game Show Network are not available via a browser.
If you can believe their TVE list.
IIRC, DFC never had a live stream on their site, only Discovery Life; GSN only recently added a live stream, but it uses DRM and cannot be added to Channels.
I just lost TVE access to DIY today through Verizon Fios. I just sent you the logs ( bd54f867-7661-4be2-8afb-621bd6d2e9f5). Thanks in advance!
Looks like i have lost DIY through TVE with AT&T NOW as the provider. I had heard at one point that DIY was going to be sunset as part of a consolidation effort by Discovery and the new Discovery+ but i don’t think it was supposed to happen this soon.
Happy to submit logs if they are needed.
Got a reply from Philo L2 asking me to try again. The issue is resolved. New Philo entitlements:
AmericanHeroes, AnimalPlanet, Cooking, DestinationAmerica, Discovery, DiscoveryLife, DiyNetwork, FoodNetwork, Free, HomeAndGarden, InvestigationDiscovery, MotorTrend, OprahWinfrey, Registered, Science, Tlc, Travel
Same as the ones from a week ago. L2 did not say (admit) somebody fixed something, but clearly a configuration issue was resolved on one side or the other. Can now tune DIY via the ScienceChannel website (and presumably via DIY as the new ones are all the same).
