Hi.
I’ve discussed this issue with one of the developers before and the issue was resolved in the Alpha. However, in the 2 last Alpha updates and now the Beta, the issue has returned.
Best way to describe the issue; picture freezes for a split second, the audio is fine and the two never go out of sync. This happens approximately once or twice a minute.
This happens with both deinterlacing modes and with every guide data source.
Any help appreciated.

Sorry to say but this problem seems to have appeared again in the latest build (app store and beta, although I they are the same version at the moment?).
Any ideas?
Sounds like either an antenna or network/wifi issue at this point.
Honestly, I don’t think it is. I don’t have this issue with other apps (InstaTV, VLC, DVBLink).
Also, the issue went away in a few versions of the beta.
Very strange… The fact that it keeps appearing and going away on builds where nothing related to the video player was changed is confusing.
Indeed. Did you have a theory about it being related to a specific EPG provider? I’m using Gracenote note on both Apple TVs.
What firmware version are you running? Can you try upgrading to the latest (20160630atest2) using https://www.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=20613

Yes that links to the latest.
Does it matter that it’s for the DVR?
The firmware is for the tuner. Updates are advised even if you don’t use SD DVR engine.
The latest Firmware Release should be 20160630atest2.
Go to my.hdhomerun.com in your browser and it should check your devices.
You will see something like this.

Unfortunately, I’m still having the intermittent picture hang. It’s most noticeable with sporting events (watching the Olympics atm), the picture pauses for a split second. Audio and video are still in sync.
As mentioned before, this doesn’t happen with other apps for the Apple TV (DVBlink, InstaTV to name a couple) and indeed on the Mac (EyeTV) too.
I’ve updated the HDHR to the latest firmware.
Really appreciate any help 
Can you try to catch a video of this happening? How often do you see it?
