AH! Thank you! I must have missed that somewhere. I just updated it to PORT and it's working great.
Probably a stupid question but if I just want one channel should I just extract the channel from this docker broadcast, add a text custom channel and use the mjh.nz guide data? Would that work? Or should I just use the Plex docker and be done with it? Or 3rd, doesn't really matter? I guess I was thinking why run the docker if unnecessary for what I need.
i still don't see air dates in the guide data since 4.03
going to switch back to an earlier version later to test if they come back.
If you use the gracenotes m3u, you don’t have to worry about the epg. Just make sure you do a fresh source I had the old epg link stuck in one I tried to update.
No, with Plex in particular, there is a rotating id that needs regular updates as it expires, so you can't just take one and be done. If you already have the Docker running, you are better just using it than any other source.
But, if you wanted to mix sources and not have to worry about that, you could also use Playlist Manager (a Streaming Library Manager for Channels extension).
confirmed switching back to 1.13 brings back air dates to the guide.
i also get:
627 channels on 1.13
635 on 4.03
I did see that I had one string formatted incorrectly for that field and corrected. However because there are quite a few areas I'm not sure exactly what you are looking at/referring to. If the issue still persists in version 4.04a can you provide a screenshot so I can understand exactly which data I need to look at
on the apple tv, the guide data includes the air date both in the quick guide and detailed view for a single guide item. example:
Episode Name Season 6, Episode 4 Jan 1st 2001
in 4.03 i do not see any air dates. it just displays as:
Episode Name Season 6, Episode 4
rolling back to 1.13 i can see air dates again.
Please provide a screenshot
Just updated to v4.04 and saw this error in the container log

Is this the new normal, or is it an issue with the guide data?
EDIT: Appears to still be running after the error

The above channel was decommissioned yesterday
AKC.tv,akc-tv,5e20b730f2f8d5003d739db7-63e6381d8895074ec6c78b16,,144550,
So code is not adding that to the EPG data. I assume you used a cached set of channels (the data volume) and will eventually be removed when the channels listing is refreshed.
You must mean the container is caching the channel list. When does it refresh it?
channels_by_geo.json
was last updated 8 days ago
It appears in my /plex/playlist.m3u?gracenote=include
source, even after refreshing the playlist in Channels DVR.
UPDATE: the fix you added to v4.04a works. I got a new, updated channels_by_geo.json
file.
was coming to say the refresh was broken in 4.03 (artifact from debugging) and corrected in 4.04a
