I set up channels about 3 months ago including the pluto docker. I have read some post with saying update the docker. So I need to update it or does it update automatically. I'm not sure so I wanted to ask. Thanks.
You need to update it maunually. The Webpage the Docker generates will notify you of available updates.
Thank you for responding. I clicked on the webpage & see that it says update available. Would you know how to update? When I installed docker for windows channel, I dont know how I dis it but I got it to work.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I installed it back when it was first released and the install went pretty smoothly and I've not had any issues with it, so never updated it. Kind of the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" at this point. A simple "how to update" would be appreciated.

Thanks for responding & providing the link, but I still dont see how to update. I did read a users post that he just deleted the docker image & copied over a new one. I may just try that. Thanks.
Update Docker for Pluto:
Open Docker Desktop
Stop the current container image
Delete the current container image
Open a CMD window
Execute the following command:
docker pull jonmaddox/pluto-for-channels
When the pull completes execute the following command:
docker run -d --restart unless-stopped --name pluto-for-channels -p 8080:80 jonmaddox/pluto-for-channels
This is for Windows - Should be same or similar for other OS.

I had this working and when I removed the old container and restarted the new instance (1.2.0) using these instructions the new data didn't load when I accessed the :8080 URL. In the log I'm seeing this message:
[ERR] Failed to request m3u: Get "https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080/playlist.m3u": http: server gave HTTP response to HTTPS client
Any suggestions?
Are you able to go to the url for the m3u and epg? I just reinstalled it and now I’m getting 404 errors.

The url should be http:// not https://
I changed to http and I’m also getting 404 errors now:

I’m getting 404 errors when I click both links.
I decided to check cdvr & pluto is working fine for me, but I'm having an issue with stirr. No guide data.
Actually started working again. Not sure what the issue was with the 404 errors. Very strange.

Yes 324 channels, but there's no guide data for the one's I specified above.
Looking at the raw schedule JSON data from Pluto, I see no mention of those channels. I don't archive old schedule data so cannot check if they were previously there, but see no data for them as of today. (And checking their website, I don't see them mentioned either.)
Because Pluto adds (and presumably deletes) channels periodically, my Pluto guide process sends an M3U channel refresh any time the channel count changes to keep the listing current.
