I am really enjoying this Pluto integration, it’s working perfectly. Very impressive work, thank you.
I do note that all movies, on every movie channel in the guide from Pluto, shows up as “Directed By: (null).” It says this everywhere. If Pluto doesn’t provide this information is there a way for this to be filtered out? Perhaps the Channels app can determine, if the Director field is “null” then just don’t show the Director field, at all?

For those of us who don't necessarily want to mess with Docker containers, is there any chance for native integration with Pluto in the future?
There’s no plans for support for Pluto in Channels.
As far as this goes, there’s really nothing easier than booting that docker image.
I appreciate all the hard work by you and everyone involved with channels. I am truly grateful that I am using most of the features. I know just enough to be dangerous, as they say, and gave it a go to install Docker Desktop but it won't run without my changing some BIOS settings, which for me, is my stop sign.
I'm guessing your tool/idea must be hosted locally as I see it generates a 127.0.... URL to connect to. Would this mean it cannot be hosted by someone for people like myself to point to? Meaning, if someone who can run Docker uses your tool to generate the M3U and EPG files, can they be shared to others through https? Again, only guessing, but I am thinking your tool might do more than just generate the two files and that is why it must run locally on one's machine. I just wanted to ask, because I don't think I have it in me for Docker just yet. (maybe one day, but my old brain is losing more old data than the new data it can take in) 
But without a doubt, thank you for creating the tool as it sounds very exciting and will be useful for many! I think I saw over 3,000 "pulls" already! I love this place....
Sharing the files between multiple users causes the streams to conflict and cut out. So you have to run it for yourself.
It doesn't need to run on the same machine, if you have another place to run Docker. I'm guessing it wanted you to enable virtualization in your bios which is necessary for any kind of VM

Will Pluto be integrated into the predefined search settings for "Upcoming Movies" section of search?
IIRC, the sections displayed on the search page are populated from entries in channels that you have marked as a favorite. If you favorite some channels from your Pluto source, then content from those channels ought to appear on the search page.
I favored the 007 channel. I can see it on my favorites view on grid. But when I go to search and click on upcoming movies. None of the movies show up there for the 007 channel.
If I do a search it comes up. Just not in the predefined categories of “Upcoming Movies”.
This behavior is in the web ui and iOS clients.
I just choose that channel for the sake of testing.
I believe those options shown on the Search page—as well as the On Later page in the web UI—are generated when the guide updates. You may need to either force a guide update, or wait until tomorrow morning when it runs.
The data is all live from the guide database, not generated or cached during updates.
There may be some info missing from xmltv causing it not to populate some predefined searches.
Are you sure you favorited the channel on the dvr web UI?

I can search, but does not show up by itself in the upcoming movies section.
The xmltv movie issue is fixed in v2020.11.29.1613
You will need to click Redownload XMLTV under Pluto
Except I am running channels DVR on my Mac Mini and not necesarilly want to have another instance in Docker.

You have 38 instances of tvheadend in order to get the the Japanese toaster channel and countless other things to watch tv from anywhere in the world, but one light docker container is too much?
In that case, just use the other m3u link in the m3u thread 
Is anyone willing to help get the Pluto TV setup on a WD PR2100 w/OS 5? I have Docker / Portainer.io installed, but don't know what to do from there. I'm kinda clueless on this NAS stuff.
Yes because if I need to have 1.6GB Mac App just to download like I don't know 100MB image just for download 2MB EPG and few KB of m3u then there is definitely something wrong by desing.
I extracted scripts from docker and run it natively on my server. However my VPS is located in germany and for some reason pluto API gives me now German lineup 
So if anyone intrested in german lineup for now check here
I probably abandon it altogether with Stirr, too much work then it's worth it.
and for the record I never used in my life tvheadend so not sure where you get info about 38 instances. as a matter of fact TVHeadend webpage seems to be no longer updated and build info displays "failing" so...
