Pluto-Windows_4C Released

Works great! Super job making this.....any chance of porting this to Apple Silicon ???

Not anytime soon. I am busy with other projects, but would like to try a home brew app since I've never built one before. I'll put that on my list of things to think about.

I have this installed and working great. How do I get it to automatically start after a computer restart? I set up a task in task scheduler, but it's not working correctly. Last night, my computer auto updated and restarted. The task scheduler showed program restarted after the computer rebooted, but it was not started when i logged in. I had to manually start it.

@bellbm Right click the icon in task bar and click run at startup. Also, make sure you are on the latest version 1.1.5 If you still have issues, I have 2 powershell scripts that will run it as a service and open the dashboard Pluto-Windows_4C/Service at main · nuken/Pluto-Windows_4C · GitHub

Thank you, the run at startup worked. Also, to update to the latest version, is there a way to do that through the dashboard, or do I have to download from the website?

When I have some time, I will update it to let users know when an update is available.

ok, thanks, but to update, is there a way to do it from the dashboard, or do I download the new exe file?

Stop the server and download the latest version exe and replace the exe file you already have in the folder with your epg and settings file. You will then run the new exe and it will retain your previous settings and be up to date.

got it, thank you!

I will at least add a check for updates button to it when I update it next time.

Could you make it start minimized? Thanks!

[edit] This could be my fault, I use an app from GitHub called Persistent Windows. The description here:

This project addresses a long-standing issue in Windows 7, 10, and 11, where windows get repositioned after events such as the system waking up, external monitor connections or disconnections, changes in monitor resolution (e.g., exiting full-screen gaming), or during RDP reconnections. Link here:

I made it ignore this Pluto app from the command line, I'll see how it does. Previously, and the reason I asked is, I was getting a blacked out window covering the screen for your app whenever coming out of sleep. Once I remembered I was using Persistent Windows on that box I felt pretty silly, betting it's my issue, not your app.

For my main box I can't live without it, was so sick of coming out of sleep and windows of already open apps where all over the place and the wrong size.

Agreed, would like to see it start minimized to tray at boot. But that's a minor thing really.

Bobby, do you have an entire team of programmers working in your basement, or are you just bored [and skilled]? You are kicking out some fantastic stuff, thank you!
