Possible Future Request? Auto tune?

Would it be possible that one could set an “Auto tune “feature such that, like setting a recording in advance the channel auto jumps to that station?

The DVR already puts a tuner to the correct station before recording. DVR would record the wrong shows otherwise.

Hi Sparky, I think I requested what your after a while back and received little feedback. I know I would use this feature daily, below is a link to my request.

Auto tune to channel schedule

Don’t know if possible or if anyone else would use this feature, but would like to be able to go to show in the guide, select it, and select tune to channel at that time. This would allow one to setup a handsfree schedule for the day, thanks.

You might be able to automate something of this sort using Channels' HTTP API, querying the server for the channel/program. The problem with this though, is that the client must be on and active for it to receive the HTTP request to tune. If you have to manually turn on the client, it's just as simple to tune your program.
