Provider - FuboTV

I would love to help, but I no longer have fubo. I have switched to YouTube tv.

If it happens to me I will let you know.

This just started happening:

Had a similar issue. Logs have been sent to support...

403 Forbidden means that there was an authentication issue, most likely because there are issues in their end.

This been happening on many TVE stations as of late...no matter the Provider Credentials used.

EDit: it is stated by devs 403 error is a regional issue with TVE, and it matter not what TVE provider is used.

Edit 2: so...2 separate issues related to TVE and 403 error.
see here.

not true, i have zero problems with my optimum and verizon credentials. its been chugging along like a champ for months.

Is true, and the proof is on the fourms.
Same channels, tested using Philo, Xfinity, Fubo, YT. TVE logins
Users with these and more have posted and reported the same TVE stream issue of 403 forbidden when commercial break happens.
SOme have reported that the live stream in the networks own app also has issues to, leading to the statement that its the source error, not anything to do with channels.
However, I have streamed Discovery and CC for over 2hrs via their app with no issues, so i still think it is an issue with Channels at least in some fashion.

The stream is from one source, no matter the credentials, so if that has issue, then it affect everything.
The devs already stated that.
Good for you that you are not having issues. U may have different issue then.
Bur for many, stations like Discovery, DIY, Comedy Central, etc are very hard to watch due to the issue.

im not saying people dont have problems, im saying that not everyone has those problems like you eluded to. i dont have any problems, even though we are all getting the streams from one source.

since we all use the same source, no matter the credentials, and i and probably others have no issues, maybe its another problem.

a network problem? i have a good business class Ubiquiti router/switches/access points network. maybe thats it.

maybe its the dns servers you use? who knows.

my server is on a windows box, not a shield, or other "low powered" device. maybe thats it.

or maybe cable credentials work better than streaming services on their back end, thats a possibility.

This seems like the most reasonable answer to these issues, especially since the problem with streams are with dotted with 403 Forbidden errors when tying to access parts of the stream.

My Stream provider is Spectrum and Had experienced 403 a couple of times on Turner Networks and Fox News and Business Networks. I tap out of the channel back to the guide and enter the channels again, Error goes away.

If u were to actually read the posts of folks with issues, u would not be posting such superfluous assumptions, since u would read they are not effective or related.

but to address those such points, i have an ER4 router, server is on a 8th gen Intel i7 NUC running Linux, my clients are 2 Nvidia Shields, '19 models. I have tried changing DNS, no effect. Since it happens for commercials, perhaps it could be ad blocking DNS, but no, i use my ISP DNS or Google, or CloudFlare, has no effect.

The 403 issues and TVE issues are only a recent thing, as they have been working fine for the last couple months as well for me. It could be related to the credentials, it could not be, we don't know that until the devs respond to it directly.

TVE it self is a beta thing, and it is kinda a uncertain thing for its future, as it evloves, it may become more and more a pain to keep up with and fix things as they break, and the devs may decide to remove the feature from Channels entirely...or the networks/providers themselves may cut TVE channels acess on their whim. (which has already been experienced for some stations)

My statement is prove correct by the devs btw.

"a regional issue that is only affecting some people. It has to do with how the streaming services inject local ads."

Thus, all TVE logins are affected,....in the regional area that has the issues (this was the further info posted today that clarifys/narrows down things).

Certain users seem to not have any issue...cool. Thanks for your input input.

There are a couple issues that people have been running into. They report similar error messages so it's easy to get them confused.

The FuboTV Issue

Highlights:

  • Specific to FuboTV
  • Impacts all channels
  • Prevents channels from playing at all
  • Happens after about 30 days
  • Current solution is to delete and re-add
  • We are working on a fix

Details:

There is a FuboTV-specific issue where after a period of time (around 30 days) all channel tuning on TVE would return unauthorized. The only solution has been to delete and re-add the source. @tmm1 has tracked down what is going on here and we'll be able to solve it.

The Commercial Break Issue

Highlights:

  • Not specific to a TVE provider
  • Happens on a limited set of channels
  • Only impacts certain geographies
  • Happens after a stream has been playing successfully
  • We don't know how we're going to solve this

Details:

The other issue that was referenced is completely different and happens for streams that are playing okay. It appears to be an issue with the TV networks themselves and does not impact everyone the same. It seems to be an issue regionally, isn't impacted by what TVE provider is used, and is an error in the stream that shouldn't ever be happening. Because this is outside of what is expected for how these streams behave, we're struggling to figure out where would be best to handle this. Nothing in your system was designed to handle this kind of behavior, so it's going to take some time if we are able to figure it out.

Thank you, I'm on the disconnects during commercials column.

As i said, All TVE credentials/providers affected, not all people.... my point is correct in regards to 403 error for commercial breaks.

proof again posted by devs after your post.

Ah. well that does clear up a few confusion of things, did not see that there is 2 separate but similar symptom related issues going on.

One is related to exclusivity Fubo TVE provider, the other affects for all TVE providers, in a certain region (that region can't exactly be defined/determined?)

Thanks for clearing that.

Fubo has added ESPN and most of the Disney channels. They are not found in channels under TV everywhere.

Click the pencil icon under Fubo, then click Rescan Missing at the top.
