If you mean creating a secondary, viewer role user at Xfinity to use for Channels DVR, then definitely recommended. Don't add a recovery email or phone for that user since you can change their password from your primary user login, if needed.
I've experienced that before.
Try linking Xfinity as a provider at one of the networks live websites and see if Xfinity is displaying some security related thing after logging in that you have to interact with before it sends you back to the networks live website. That could trip up Channels.
It was looking for a number to verify my viewing acct .. used remote desktop to my Windows Channel Server and authorized there by watching hallmark and adding phone number scanning now looks good.
Must be new Security since the breach to authorize users even viewers.
Yes. I saw the same thing where it asked to provide a recovery phone and/or email, but there was a link to not provide those and use recovery Q&A's instead.
Yeah I saw that but chose phone number instead.
@chDVRuser thanks for your suggestion that it may be looking for something else much appreciated.
Anyone able to get the Pac-12 Networks over TVE lately? I hadn't checked in a while and see that the Pac-[2] is going to keep it running for at least one more year. However, is it still on Xfinity's TVE? I haven't been able to connect to it all day, including a reset of my modem, router, password, lineup, and guide data.
Pac 12 Channels were discontinued as there are only 2 Colleges in the Pac 12.
Pac-12 Conference has undergone significant changes. With several schools departing for other power conferences, only Oregon State and Washington State remain in the conference
Tell me about it, LOL! I'm a WAZZU alum.
I'm still getting the Pac-12 Network over Xfinity cable, but since not being able to tune into the TVE channels, I was wondering if that was shut off after their last live broadcast on May 24.
Yep - Same!
Well if you do not come in first in Pac 12 you are the runner up lol.
Thanks for the find. I'm happy that WAZZU and Oregon State got in on a deal with CW and Fox. That seems to be better than what U-Dub fans are going to have to deal with to find coverage of their Dawgs in the B1G-[18].
The schools still owe Xfinity, don't they? I would think there's no way Xfinity would pay the TVE fee.
I noticed XFINITY gives false alerts ....
script_error err=Wrong password. Please update your password and try again.
I'm having this same issue. I've connected behind a VPN to address the auto authentication issue and even changed my password. I can log into the stream app without any issues but continue to get the "Wrong password. Please update your password and try again." message.
Yeah my password is correct as I can authorize in the LiveTV pages of the Channels but not in Channels DVR keep getting script_error err=Wrong password. Please update your password and try again.
