Raspberry PI w/ Channels Installed Afterwards vs. Custom PI Channels Distro

I'm a Pi newbie and loaded the default version of the OS that came with my little box. I installed Channels using Linux based instructions and have it working (including Pluto Docker installed). Is there any performance improvements with going through and installing the distro Channels offers? The installation on these Pis is not something I am used to (I'm 50 and not as quick on the uptick with new processes like I used to be).

Just curious what the opinions are to see if I can just leave as is or plow through converting to Channels version of Pi?

Thanks,

Jay

You can leave it as is.

The official image uses 64bit OS so there are a few advantages but nothing major.

Make sure the recordings are on a separate partition from the binaries
