Was going to combine my two sources (cable TV & TVE), but now I remember why I have separate NAS's running separate sources.

How does recording priority work?

Channel numbers and tuner types are not considered for recording priority. Favorites and HD channels are always preferred for recordings when available, and tuners are always tried in the order of priority listed in the DVR. Basically the DVR loops over each tuner in the priority you've set. First it tries to look at only favorited HD channels and if one is found, it is used to make the recording. Then it goes through all the tuners again looking for favorited SD channels. If that doesn't work…
