I was watching Return of the Jedi bluray version (mkv) on a virtual channel. I then stopped it and did some youtube stuff and came back to watch it again. All it did was blacken the screen, pull up the time bar to the correct time for the movie and the circle just keep spinning. I submitted a log file 6bbac1c0-48f3-4ab2-9909-b2a797a790db
I tried on multiple fire sticks and same result. I restarted the fire sticks and upgraded the dvr server, no difference. I also tried to play the movie from the movies section and it did start playing at the beginning of the movie. It appears to be an issue when the movie is already in progress. This happens quite a bit when going from movie to YouTube. When you start playing YouTube, it becomes sluggish after leaving the virtual channel.
I also noticed that in the FireTv developer mode, the video/audio statistics are 0 when trying to continue the movie but in the channels dvr status, it says the movie is playing. One odd thing I always see in the status of the playing movie, the time is always 0 seconds for any movie.
I just found out this happens with different movies too.
I did some more testing. Here is another log: c6c600d7-2be8-4278-b9cb-f90fe3ddf66e
Now this log contains playing a movie on a virtual channel. Hitting the home button on the Firestick remote. Going to YouTube. It plays for a second, stops, hit play again and plays for a second and stops. Leave YouTube and come back into channels. Go back to the virtual channel and I saw 2 things. One, when you play a movie on a virtual channel, the screen goes black. Hit back on the remote to go to guide, then you start hearing audio from the movie until you select another movie (slightly different than first issue). Channels seems to recover from this issue if for some reason it restarts.
