This seems to be a recent bug, possibly? Just tonight I noticed the show descriptions for multiple episodes for a variety of different recorded shows is being cut off (no line wrapping) on just the Fire TV version of the app. The same episode description displays just fine in the iOS version. See examples below.
This was fixed in a later release. However, Amazon hasn't approved 2.1.25 yet (for some unknown reason).
So: it's not you, it's Amazon; it's already been fixed; you can install a beta (from the Settings > Player section, IIRC); Amazon is holding the fix for some reason, as it was addressed nearly a fully month—or more—ago … (Yes, that's to call out Amazon's review process.)
