1. I usually cringe when advertisers move into forums. . . But at least its a product many of us use.

3. I have a U1. It is a great remote. Its a really good remote except when IR does not work.
4. Can you address some concerns users have had in the past about X1.

Programming it with the app would probably be fine, if the wifi on the hub wasn’t awful

I just wanted to chime in and say welcome to the forum as well. At first I groaned when I saw what it was, but it doesn't seem or feel "spammy" and just has information, so I can appreciate it. I actually own the X1 version and am happy to hear there is a new model out for options.

I have been using a U1 for many years. It has its issues (battery drain, double keypresses, poor IR range - improved by cutting the case), but it does the job well enough and there aren't many alternatives on the market. I bought a U2 to replace it awhile ago, but haven't taken the time to set it up yet.
