Some recordings have 6 second repeat scenes

I am trying to figure out if this is a Channels issue, a specific channel's issue, or that of DirectTV Stream. This happens consistently when I DVR items. The repeat scenes are always 6 seconds in length and if a program has more then one repeat scene they are always 6 seconds.

I have no idea if this happens live because the channels I DVR I only watch from the DVR. I have never seen this watching a program live or DVRed on DirectTV Stream's app which is not a local recording on my system.

I only DVR one channel mostly and this is completely random. There are two separate channels for this station on TVE and I now record the movies on both so I can compare and I have never seen it happen on both feeds at the same time.

I'm just frustrated because it is annoying to watch a movie to have a scene repeat and I would like to pin this down. If it is something on my system then that would be great because it is something I can control or fix.

Any ideas? Really frustrating.

We would need diagnostics at the time this happened to know for certain, but in the previous times we've investigated these sorts of issues, the problem has been in the source stream and there was nothing we could do about it.

Can you update to the latest DVR pre-release to make sure there weren't any bug fixes that could have been impacting you? It's unlikely, but worth testing.

Yes I will update as you suggest but I know this will not fix the issue because this has been happening consistently on a daily basis since I switched to DirectTV Stream and Channels.

When you say source stream do you mean from the channel provider or package provider like DirectTV?

The channel provider. DirecTV is just providing authentication, but the video content comes from the cable network channel provider.
