I've read through all the posts I can find on the subject. I am wanting to add MSNow, CNBC, Golf and Bravo to my custom channels with my Apple TV. The links I find are all NBC. Can someone point me in the right directions for the proper link addresses. Let me expand there is a thread about adding custom channel to open the app on an Apple TV to watch live. The expample was the NBC networks...msnbc golf cnbc etc. But that does
Thx
I haven't messed with stream links, so I'm actually only helpful for a bump.
I havn't seen any chatter on these links since the switch, but I already had ah4c setup with directv stream.
I think most of us have opted to dive into cc4c, ah4c, adbtuner, ect.. best place to start with those options is Project One-click
so thats where it opens directv app and goes to the channel
after reading through 560 posts I'm no closer on how to add Directv stream via ah4c
it is a setup using the directv osprey streaming boxes connected to an hdmi encoder like a linkpi to watch and record any channel.
other streaming services and boxes are better supported with adbtuner.
this isn't the cheapest way to go, but inherently a long term stable(ish) option. nothing in tv/streaming world is all that stable long term.
I recommend a minimum linkpi v3 with a usb encoder added for a total of 2 inputs, but the 5 input one is good too. then it's deciding on the 'tuner' box. the onn boxes reportely work well and are cheep. aprox $200 total to set it up, but no worrying about drm or tve issues. I went with directv for the channels I wanted, and the reliability of having a simple channel# to record instead of links that could change. the osprey boxes are made for directv, so it keeps things simple.
