I have setup Remote Access to my DVR and it works nicely. I tested it from inside the house by switching between WiFi and Carrier LTE services (ATT in my case) using my iPhone (channels v 2.1.15 on iOS v 11.3.1 - 15E302)
I setup my firewall (edgerouter3 lite) to port forward 8089/TCP, disabled WiFi on my iPhone, and then enabled remote access to my DVR and it worked.
After I switched by the WiFi back on then I didn’t see the DVR, I had to stop and start the Bonjour service on my DVR to get it back. I am running the DVR (v 2018.04.05.2059) on FreeNAS (FreeNAS-11.1-U4).
My WiFi uses a Netgear R8000 upstairs with a EX8000 range extender for coverage downstairs.
This issue of no DVR comes up on an intermittent basis and restarting Bonjour always fixes it, but my spouse is uncomfortable having to login to do that when I am not around.
Is there something I need to change?
