Tennis Channel is working with XFINITY. Took a long time to connect.
Well it Broke.
I'm on Spectrum and, sometimes, commercials will play, but the actual Tennis Channel feed never starts.

This is getting ridiculous. It has been nearly 6 days now since hearing anything about this from the devs with like 8 people asking about this during one of the biggest tennis tournaments of the year, while prereleases are being dropped with backend updates and talk about prepping for future features. How about we work on the broken currently supported features. And If this isn't fixable, just tell us one way or the other.
I already mentioned I was traveling. I had several delays and cancellations to deal with and am just getting home now.
Can confirm this is now the case. Unfortunately this means the streams cannot be recorded or played by Channels.

I can see how that would seem like eternity to those who are used to immediate responses from the devs. Have you ever contacted Google (or any other company for that matter) for a fix?
How long did it take?
As for TVE.
I'll vote to terminate it completely. It has become a cat & mouse endeavor.
If not for TVE what would make Channels DVR unique from other DVR's out there?

Going by the number of channels that have already disappeared from TVE, isn't the writing on the wall? I will continue to use Channels DVR with or without TVE.
You might be well-served to recalibrate your expectations on this a bit. Surely there are other apps and services that will allow you to watch this particular channel.

âŚwhich explains precisely why they added dealbreaker DRM to their TVE stream. Point being, any blame for this change lies squarely on the shoulders of the Tennis Channel and not the developers of Channels DVR.
Given the vicissitudes of the TV broadcast industry, and the number of things outside of the control of CDVRâs small development team, it should make perfect sense why this feature may very well remain in perpetual beta. It shouldnât carry the same expectations of reliability as a release-ready feature, if it canât reasonably deliver on that promise. Hence the beta label.

This is bad. I signed up with Channels DVR mostly just for Tennis Channel. So there is no workaround?
In the past 4 days a potential gamechanger of a workaround has emerged.
Itâs working extremely well for me with many channels that are not on TVE, and might be worth checking out for Tennis Channel too.
