Tuner not available, server is idle

I can view it through silicon dust while teamviewered in. Not the best for video but can see it’s working.

@tmm1 does this help at all?

It still is recording properly but can’t view live tv.

Actually when I try to record a random show right now, it doesn’t record and the server says it’s delayed

I can also view live tv with the silicon dust app with other local network (same as the dvr) machines. Might be a channels issue?

I don't know, but I would say stop. Use the software as intended. How would anyone be able to tell where the problem is in this case? Remote desktop software adds a layer of complexity that would just create guessing by anyone.

Remote Desktop is fine and isn’t the problem. I’ve been using it for years. This problem still exists though. Any word on fixing or more troubleshooting? @tmm1

Edit: Remote Desktop is used for troubleshooting not actual viewing

Did you submit diagnostics after upgrading to prerelease?

Try rebooting the hdhomerun? Or changing priority to use a different one?

If you record and try to watch the mpg file does it play video?

I’ll submit right now. I’m on the local network right now physically. I’ll send from an Apple TV and the server. 31957f7d-9f01-4ce0-9a39-2efe24fce039

I tried rebooting and changing priorities with no luck.

It does play already recorded content with no problems and seems to still record scheduled shows. Just no live tv.

Does Channels app play live TV at home? With streaming quality original

No. It plays through on Hd home run software on a iMac and my phone when on the local network.

Does it play in the hdhomerun appletv app?

Yes. May be slightly jittery if I pay real close attention but nothing dramatic.

This wouldn’t be a windows update issue, would it?

Does it play in Channels app if you turn off tuner sharing?

Still nothing when I turn it off in the app settings on the ATV.

Submit diagnostics from the Apple TV after trying to play with tuner sharing off.

Are you using beta TestFlight app?

Will do. Not using the test flight app.

Ok, submitted logs from ATV and server. This time I was able to get picture and sound but really laggy and jumpy.

I'm not sure what's going on. Either the hdhomerun is failing or something is messed up on your network.

If the same Apple TV can play video fine in HDHomeRun app but not Channels app that's very strange.

Maybe try the TestFlight to compare.
