TV Everywhere Experiences (Internal Beta)

Latest version of DVR 2019.06.20.0012 added PAC-12 channels and NESN to my Xfinity and Philo accounts, although I am not authorized for those channels for either login. It also appeared that Golf channel was added, which I am authorized to view via Xfinity but not Philo (authz status 400 Bad Request).

Have removed Cox (and re-added) 6 times and never above 33 channels. I will hold tight and wait for the next release to see if that makes it any better.

Please email us with logs via https://getchannels.com/tv-everywhere-beta/feedback/

I’m getting 108 channels with Cox! But there are some multiples like TNTHD and TNTPHD. Or TRUTVHD and TRUTVHP. What’s the difference in these channels?

Please read the announcement thread.

Locast would be a great addition, since you still need to purchase an Hdhomerun

Comcast channels not showing in guide. I logged into Comcast with the TV Anywhere interface. It detected 93 channels. But, non of them show in the guide. I have tried the refresh for the HDHR and the new X-TVE sources.

Do I need to refresh something else? Or, is this an issue with the Comcast 2F Auth? While the X-TVE channels were scanning I was getting constant Comcast texts with new 2F Auth codes.

Even though I'm disabling channels in the TVE setup by selecting the red circle with a cross through it, these channels are still showing up on my Nvidia Shield Grid Guide.

The grid guide in general, is not accurate as I detailed in another thread. Channels are missing. I was hoping that by deleting the channels in the TVE that I don't use (or where there are cable versions of those channels) it would correct some issues but that's not the case. In fact, is has no effect.

A non-working grid guide is a very fundamental issue to using the application and I would hope it will be resolved soon.

I also disabled some channels and they still show up ... just noticed it on my FireTV.

YES! Major agrivation!

Are you looking at all of your channels, or just your favorites? You may also need to refresh your DVR to download new channel show data.

I tested with HD channels.

That's where I use the guide.... when I want to quickly see everything.

In the settings, you can select the "Scan Network for Tuners" option, which ought to resync the status of channels and priority of tuners from the DVR. Otherwise, clients maintain their own list of channels separate from the servers; make sure they are disabled on the client, too.

This seems really crazy to me. Why do I want to go through this process on every TV?

This appears to me that you should not need to do that. Like is the case with HDHomerun. But I have not tested.

If you prefer either only EST or only PST feeds, you can hide the unwanted channels via the DVR web UI by clicking the pencil icon shown under the TVE source.

If you disable a channel through the WEB UI it should also be disabled on the Clients when it connects to the DVR Server.

That's not happening.

I went through and disabled channels on the Shield and that corrected the issues with the grid guide. TVE conflicts were definitely causing the issues on the guide.

This is fixed in the 2.1.7 android release. Let me know if it still happens after that upgrade.

Currently you have to remove/readd but we are working on a rescan UI. There is also an api endpoint if you want to email support to ask about it.

You'd have to change priority, yes. Or for recordings you could favorite a channel.

The DeviceID look like "TVE-Cox" and can be used in place of ANY. You can see all the ids via the /devices api endpoint.

Please refer to the announcement FAQ:

Which guide? In the web UI? Or the app? On which device?

Many apps and the web UI default to showing only favorited channels.

This sounds like a major bug in the Android app. I'll take a look today.

For both Web UI and iOS. I don’t see a guide at all for the Comcast channels.
