TV Everywhere Experiences (Internal Beta)

Has anyone gotten this to work with FiOS? If so, are there any channels missing from the lineup? I am running my server on a Shield TV, but would try a different platform if I knew it would work.

Support for the SHIELD was added a few weeks ago.

FiOS normally does not DRM their channels. I was on Verizon and then Frontier FiOS (still have Internet only). Assuming in your area there is no DRM (for all but premium like HBO) then you would get more channels with a Cable Card assuming you are sticking with FiOS TV. If you plan to drop FiOS TV then it does not matter. I think TVE for FiOS and Cable is best when customers "keep" the TV SUB (for some reason) but all or most channels have DRM.

TVE current does not support any Local Network Channels like CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX. You would need an Antenna for those. However, you might be able to get those with QAM via Cable even without CC.

When with FiOS I found that I got a lot of TVE Channels that others do. But again never as much as CC.

Directv Now no longer carries CBS due to a dispute with CBS (should come back). On the screen when you try to play CBS it recommends LOCAST which I have as a separate App.

When I try to jump back and forth on the timeline, via windows pc/chrome (on the pc running the channels dvr server) I get spinning circles that frequently never resolve. Is this going to be fixed?

Issues with streaming to the web player should have been resolved with the latest builds. When you're watching what does it say underneath the player video? "Streaming directly", or something else?

Thanks guys for adding my channel request so fast!

I love REELZ so I’m happy it was added so quickly. :slightly_smiling_face:

4 posts were split to a new topic: Some TVE channels have broken captions on Android

Are Univision/Unimás working for anyone? I get an HTTP 400 error when trying to auth, and I've tried several times on different days. They should be part of my subscription package. I can log in on the site without a problem, and I get the video player for Univision and Unimás and a "not part of your subscription" message for TUDN (which is correct). Video doesn't play, but I have my browser's security locked down within an inch of its life so that doesn't mean much since a lot of sites don't play until I find the minimal level of unblocking to make them work. The Univision Now app on Android auths and plays properly.

I am having issues connecting my Xfinity account I get the “not subscribed” message but when I login in anywhere else with my Xfinity Credentials (TV Everywhere.com, Apple TV individual apps, Chrome browser, etc) I have no issues at all. This is first time I am trying Xfinity login with Channels DVR TVE beta (my FuboTV and Philo logins still work like a charm)

Thanks for Reelz, but I'm getting the following error:

Get https://tkx.apis.anvato.net/rest/v2/server_time?anvack=QMvdBLJZuRjEMZiMa25ocbwPdOcjYw0z: dial tcp: lookup tkx.apis.anvato.net: getaddrinfow: The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found.

My Optimum credentials and the stream work fine at https://now.reelz.com/tve/tvewatchlive.aspx

thanks.

I am using remote DVRings since my server is on VPS. Couple remarks:
With Spectrum login:
some channels load very fast (C-SPAN, BET) other channels like MSNBC take forver to load.

Philo:
Only few channels are recognized - tvland, comedy central, vh1, hallmark and cheddar. No AMC, no History.

Wish I had Vue credentials to check it but mostly I use YTTV which is not supported

You may find this list helpful:

the link providing misleading info. I see AMC is supported but that's not true

AMC works here on the following sources.

Directv Now
Philo
PS Vue

Based on another post. I am getting 30 channels from Philo besides all the channels after 6700 that all sources get. Today is my last day of testing Philo.

This is a dns lookup failure. Are you using a custom dns server?

YTTV is supported now.

If you use xfinity for internet under a different account, you have to disable auto-authentication in your account settings.

Just lost HGTV, DIY and Travel channels from Philo:

2019/07/24 09:29:59 [TVE] Channel scan 72/177 HGTV failed: 403 Forbidden: Access to the requested resource path has been forbidden: [Authorized Networks: ].

2019/07/24 09:30:02 [TVE] Channel scan 76/177 DIY failed: 403 Forbidden: Access to the requested resource path has been forbidden: [Authorized Networks: ].

Reelz.... Which source supports it? I get Login Not Supported on multiple sources.

FYI... All work here. Even though my LOG is showing an error with DIY it was working. So tried again with no error but seemed to work as with the error.

EDIT: My DVR Version is: 2019.07.24.0109
