TVE chrome issue

Sorry, the Spectrum page no longer appears after a fresh install. This is what appears.

When I install Channels on a Windows PC on the same network I'm able to login and auth just fine. That makes me think it's something on the Linux machine. Either it is the network configurations or something else.

I'm not sure to be honest. If you want to give me temporary remote access I can try to figure it out.

Is this a linux PC you've built? Or some type of NAS?

It's just an old Samsung laptop from 2012/2013 that has Ubuntu 18.04 installed on it. You could remote access, what would we use to do that?

I found a workaround for my situation and that was setting it up on the Windows Machine and then doing a restore on the Ubuntu machine.

That's not going to work for very long..

Darn I thought that would resolve it.

@tmm1 I can now auth after a fresh install of Ubuntu 18.04, no issues. Thanks for your time and patience.

I just installed Channels DVR on my new Unbuntu Desktop machine yesterday and am trying to get things set up. I was able to add Locast as a source for channels just fine and everything seemed to be working fine. I added the Channels DVR app to my Apple TV, iPad and iPhone and I can see all the Locast channels perfectly. But when I try add my new YouTube TV account as a source I keep getting the error message listed above: the chrome timed out and a frozen screen. I tried the solution listed above and logged into NBCLive.com with my YTTV credentials and that worked, but still get the timed out error.

The failed attempt in my log reads as follows:

Is there something else I can try to solve the problem. I would like to use YTTV with my new system.

Please go to Help -> Submit Diagnostic Logs from the web interface of the DVR and let us know when it's been submitted so we can have a better idea of what was going on.

Okay, I just submitted my logs - fe648b61-2300-4533-889e-8ab55c0370fa

Thanks

You need to follow the instructions here:

What the heck does "2FA" mean? Two Family Accounts? My Google accounts goes back over 12 years and I had never set up a Family account before. I had only used it to set up Google analytics on some websites that I created. But now I have a Family account, is that what I needed to do? I can't find anywhere that allows you to create a secondary family account login. Or do I need to delete my Family Group altogether?

2FA = Two-Factor Authentication. This is what is meant if you use an authenticator app or receive a text message with a secondary code to use for login.

I do not have "2-Step Verification" set up on my Google account. I still can't find where to go to in YouTube TV's account system to create a secondary family account login. Any help on that would be appreciated.

I believe you can enter an email to invite. So you may need to create a new gmail first and invite that.

So I have to invite myself to be part of my own Family Group and give myself another login? I have plenty of email address I can use and do not need to create a GMail account.

So, no one can tell me how to go about creating a secondary family account login. I have searched thru all the menu options on YouTube TV and can't find that option. Inviting myself to join my Family group hasn't worked yet either. I created a both a new gmail email account and sent myself an invite and send one of my other email accounts an invite and after I accept the invitation neither shows up in my YouTube TV account as an active family member. Unless it takes a certain amount of time for YTTV to process the info list me as a family member.

Any help would be appreciated, the short one sentence answers I am getting assume that I know too much.

I had a trial of YTTV, and there was an option somewhere to create a family account, but the page never loaded for me. Nor did i ever get YTTV to work with Channels.

Anyway, not sure if this is the right thing, but I found these pages via a Google Search.

PS. U would be best contacting google or posting on their forums for help on that topic, since Channels is not involved in that process.

I accepted the invitation to my family with new gmail account and can logon to YTTV with my new gmail account, but is still not listed as a member of my family on my main YTTV account. And when I try to use this account to setup my YTTV account in Channels DVR it comes back with error message saying that it is not a valid login for YTTV.

If you tried too many times, you may have hit a Security time out rate limit. and may have to wait 24hrs. I don't know. I ran into the same issue when i had the 7 day trial of YTTV many months ago, and was told same thing here, use family account, which I never could do. thus never got YTTV to work with Channels. I got so far as the correct page, but it never loaded or errored out. I think you have to contact Google and they have to do something.
