Has anyone successfully configured comskip for the FoxNews Channel using TVE? I've tried to use logo for the 'commercial break' image, but comskip doesn't recognize it. No commercials are identified.

After years of playing with comskip settings, I gave up. Just wasn't worth the time and frustration. I now have it turned off. I use my video editor, VideoReDo to cut commercials on recordings I want to archive and use skip forward/back on recordings I watch and delete.
Something you could try is the Fox News channel from Fox One using EPlusTV
The one from EPlusTV(Fox One) is 1920x1080p @ 59.94fps with AAC 2 channel audio and has actual commercials.
The one from TVE is 1280x720p @ 60.00fps with AAC-HE 2 channel audio and shows the static commercial break in progress image.
Thanks for the quick feedback, albeit a bit disheartening. I'll likely just use the fast forward feature to deal with the commercial breaks. I like the quiet static page actually and don't want the commercials ever. Wife doesn't mind them as its background white noise from her perspective....

It's not using the new smart detection on the channel.
On some channels the smart detection algorithm isn't being triggered by the content (not compatible) or the developers blacklisted the channel (reports of it not working on certain channels) so smart detection doesn't kick in.
Comskip will work on the FNC channel from Fox One using EPlusTV since it has real commercials, but comskip is not 100% accurate.
