Is it a recording from HDHR or TVE?

Recorded from HDHR.

When I am playing the show and then skip the commercials in the browser then after it starts playing again that is when it will play for a moment and then just stop... I have to close out the whole program and start again. Maybe that will help some. I rebooted the PC the server runs on just in case. Here is more data from the log.

Can you try switching to software transcoder and see if that makes any difference.

I changed it to software and skipped the commerical and it didn't stop. But there was only a few mins left in the show. Here is more log data. I will try it more later. Heading out now...

Switching to software encoding did not help. It still stops playing.

Which browser are you using?

Chrome Version 76.0.3809.87 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Using this server version. 2019.08.01.2219

I'm running into the same problem with the same version of Chrome on Win10 Pro x64, also HDHR with latest updates.

This is a very servious issue which showed about two days ago. I am losing recordings because they stop so often.

I will try the software decoding next.

I thought I was losing recordings becaue they were basically unwatchable in Chrome. However, I just verified that one of my problematic recordings plays just fine in VLC. So, I'm starting to believe that this may be a Chrome and/or Channels DVR transcoder issue for browser playback only.

We're working on a fix that will be ready for testing in a couple hours.

Great! I am glad to hear that. Thank you for your help. I'll be glad to update once it is ready! Thank you for being so responsive to my concern.

My thanks also for your responsiveness. I verified in my case that I have no playback stoppages with software transcoding.

New build v2019.08.02.0042 is available to test.

To update, click-and-hold the Check For Update button.

Downloaded and install pending. I've got a whole bunch of stuff recording. Will test and report back tomorrow. Thank You!!

Correction. During an episode of MasterChef, it stopped playing mid stream. I hadn't even skipped a commercial break yet.

Video still stops playing unexpectedly using version 2019.08.02.0213

Same here - I'm still experiencing stoppages with build v2019.08.02.0042. I just had a 2-3 minute stoppage with audio suddenly restarting, but with video still frozen in a still frame.

That's with hardware transcoding back on.

OK, apparently I'm on Build 2019.08.02.0213 now. Still experiencing stoppages at around 5:30 into a playback.
