I hope this is in the right place, if not forgive me… it’s my first post. I cannot use it as a server for DVR with Channels right? If I can, can someone point me in the right direction?

At the moment, the MyCloudHome is not supported. However we have submitted a Channels DVR app to WD and it is currently undergoing QA. Eventually you will be able to install it onto the device just like with Plex.
Ok sounds good, I’ll just map it for the time being. One more question. I have an Nvidia Shield in my basement and plan on getting the app for it also. Will it see the same DVR as my Apple TV?
Yes it will connect to your existing DVR.
