Today I was watching NewsMax via TVE and all of a sudden I received a “Connection Lost” message and simply tapped on play and it reconnected to the stream. This happens a few times per week and it sure would be nice if Channels would attempt to reconnect on its own instead of just displaying a full screen error.

i get this for local virtual channels as well. weird stuff
We understand this and we're working on something like this.
For now, you can click the play button your remote, and it will attempt to reconnect. This way you don't have to exit the player and pick the channel again.
