YouSee Denmark Guide Data missing/incorrect

Have the guide provider given an ETA? Also, when they fix it, how do we rescan for the changes to appear?

PS. Here is the list of channels where EPG and/or logos are not working/wrong:
“Channel 3, DR K”, “Channel 15, Canal9”, “Channel 26, NatGeo”, “Channel 35, ID”, “Channel 38, TV3 MAX”, “Channel 39, EuroSport 1”, “Channel 49, TV 2 Sport”, “Channel 51, NatGeo People”, “Channel 11, TV3 Puls”.

I emailed them again on Friday and they said they are still looking into it.

Once it is fixed you will be able to click the circle refresh icon to get the new data.

If I don’t hear back from them soon I will look into fixing it ourselves.

I got an update that these channels should be fixed:

“Channel 3, DR K”
“Channel 26, NatGeo”
“Channel 39, EuroSport 1”

The rest they are saying are not in their database. I will follow-up to see what it takes to get them added.

Doesn’t look fixed. It can take 24 hours for the database to update, so I will check again tomorrow.

It would be more useful if you could specify what the problem with each channel is. I don’t know which ones are missing data, or just missing logo, or have the wrong logo or wrong data.

Sure, I want to help as much as I can - When the EPG gets fixed, and the glitches I have when watching Channel 1 DR1 are gone, Channels will be the perfect TV/DVR system for my home :blush:

I am missing the same as Ayla, except here I get both logo and EPG for Eurosport 1.

In addition I am missing the following:

Channel 16 - TLC - Missing logo and EPG
Channel 19 - TNT - Missing EPG
Channel 23 - dk4 - Missing logo and EPG
Channel 24 - Comedy Central - Wrong EPG (Comedy Central from a different region)
Channel 89 - TV4 - Missing EPG
Channel 65 - Viasat Series - Missing logo and EPG
Channel 84 - BBC W - Missing logo and EPG
Channel 20 - MTV - Missing logo and EPG
Channel 73 - TLC - Missing logo and EPG
Channel 16 - TLC - Missing logo and EPG
Channel 91 - ARD (Das Erste) - Missing logo and EPG

Any update on correcting this?

Many of the channels were fixed already. The rest are underway.

I see 3 of the above fixed after running the setup again. Can you let us know as the rest gets corrected?

What do I need to do, both on server and client, to get the latest EPG changes?

I still see a lot of errors.

Also, the reported channels still have the wrong EPG data, it’s getting harder to justify the expense I think.

I’m not sure why our provider is having such a hard time with correct data for YouSee. Other providers in Denmark seem to be fine.

I was able to find fixes for 6 channels:

Channel 3, DR K = 87727
Channel 11, TV3 Puls = 87807
Channel 15, Canal9 = 81392
Channel 35, ID = 65973
Channel 84, BBC W = 36844
Channel 91, ARD (Das Erste) = 67295

I sent this to them last month, but they ran into some problem making the changes.

Since they have not been able to add these, I have added some custom channel mapping code to our DVR so we can easily add our own fixes without waiting on the provider.

Please update to the latest pre-release DVR build, by going to the DVR web UI settings page, hold down SHIFT KEY on your keyboard, and click Check for Updates. After it updates to v2018.01.04.1821, click the circle refresh icon next to the DVR lineup and then see if the correct data loads for the above six channels.

Channel 3, DR K = OK
Channel 11, TV3 Puls = Wrong EPG. You have the data and Logo for TV3 +, not TV3 Puls
Channel 15, Canal 9 = Wrong EPG. Some German channel.
Channel 35, ID = OK
Channel 84, BBC W = OK
Channel 91, ARD = OK

I will post a new listing of the other errors in the Yousee EPG later.

Thanks for trying to fix it - the most important ones for me and the family, still missing EPG after the update:

Channel 14, 6’eren
Channel 15, Canal9
Channel 37, TV3 Sport
Channel 38, TV3 MAX

Looking back through this thread, I see your comment about Yousee using different channel numbers i different regions. Just so you know, the PDF you link to in the top.of this thread say on the webpage that this is the channel map for all regions. So that should indicate Yousee uses the same channel numbers all over Denmark.

We have received a notice from our provider that they are making some changes to DNK guide databases:

In an effort to continually improve our products and services, we are transitioning our data source for lineup information to improve data quality and flexibility. Certain international market lineups will now be maintained by Gracenote specialists. As part of this effort, we are asking you to transition to new lineups and data.

This migration starts next Tuesday, Jan 23.

I think this is part of the reason they were so slow to make changes, because the database was already under migration. Once the migration is complete, they should be able to make changes again and hopefully fix up the remaining issues.

This is great news, I’m really looking forward to the EPG being fixed.

As it is now, the family has to use their phone to check the TV guide, in another app.

So, any news on this?

Last I heard was the transition got delayed.

Release date delayed.
