Looking back through this thread, I see your comment about Yousee using different channel numbers i different regions. Just so you know, the PDF you link to in the top.of this thread say on the webpage that this is the channel map for all regions. So that should indicate Yousee uses the same channel numbers all over Denmark.
We have received a notice from our provider that they are making some changes to DNK guide databases:
In an effort to continually improve our products and services, we are transitioning our data source for lineup information to improve data quality and flexibility. Certain international market lineups will now be maintained by Gracenote specialists. As part of this effort, we are asking you to transition to new lineups and data.
This migration starts next Tuesday, Jan 23.
I think this is part of the reason they were so slow to make changes, because the database was already under migration. Once the migration is complete, they should be able to make changes again and hopefully fix up the remaining issues.
This is great news, I’m really looking forward to the EPG being fixed.
As it is now, the family has to use their phone to check the TV guide, in another app.
So, any news on this?
Last I heard was the transition got delayed.
Release date delayed.
Please be advised the Release Availability Date has changed for this transition effort.
We will provide an update next week with a revised schedule.
Since yesterday, we have lost the channel “TV 2”.
It’s the most watched channel in Denmark, so it’s a pretty big problem that we can’t see this one now(!)
I have tried to run a scan for new channels, but instead of “TV 2” there are now two channels named “Kanal5”.
I think “TV 2” was channel 4 or 5, but I don’t remember since I can’t see it anymore on the list.
The channel is being broadcast, because it works fine, as it always has, in ‘TvhClient’.
Any news, it’s unusable right now?
We are using TvhClient, as the guide is totally off in Channels, and channel “TV 2” is missing completely.
Our provider has finished their transition.
Please click the trash icon under the hdhomerun and re-enter your postal code to select the new option.
I trashed my guide settings, and when I select Denmark and postal code: 2000, “YouSee” is no longer available?
So now I can only use local broadcast epg.
I checked and YouSee is not showing up either. I emailed Gracenote to ask them to fix it.
Thanks for that. YouSee is now available again, but there’s still so many EPG errors and wrong channel mappings, that it’s practically unusable.
Would a XML option be possible, which we could manage from the Admin interface?
The XML I use from https://honeybee.it/ with Tvheadend is perfect, and this is the kind of quality I would like to see from the paid EPG in Channels.
Thanks again.
EPG still full of errors and channel ‘TV 2’ missing. Please take a look at this again.
Do you need a list of all the missing channels once again, or?
If you make a list I can copy/paste to send to our provider.
Missing channels:
TV 2 (this is the most watched channel in Denmark!)
Missing EPG:
Channel 11 - Comedy Central Denmark
Channel 15 - Canal9
Channel 17 - Discovery Channel Denmark
Channel 26 - NatGeo Denmark
Channel 38 - TV3 MAX
Channel 39 - EuroSport 1
Channel 41 - EuroSport 2
Channel 49 - TV 2 Sport
Channel 50 - Animal Planet
Channel 51 - NatGeo People
Channel 52 - NatGeo Wild
Channel 54 - Investigation Discovery (ID)
As you can see, so many missing that it’s not very usable or worth paying for.
Hope you can get it fixed - As I mentioned above, honeybee.it EPG info is perfect.
It looks like you’re still using an old guide database. Can you please click the trash icon under the HDHR and then re-enter your location to pick YouSee
Thanks, but I already did that 3 times yesterday. Click the trash icon, add the EPG, area code: 2000, provider: YouSee.
Still all these channels EPG are wrong, and ‘TV 2’ is missing?
TV2 has been added. The other channels data is not available according to our provider.
That’s disappointing, that’s a lot of channels without guide data. I hope you will consider the option of XML data, so we can use our own EPG guide data (honeybee.it).
I hope that too. That would open up the market for a lot more countries and providers and make me interested in DVR again.
I still find it strange that you can provide pretty accurate Yousee EPG for channels without DVR, though.
