ADBTuner: A "channel tuning" application for networked Google TV / Android TV devices

Thought I'd post a follow-up to my Hulu tuning problem/question. Once I figured out how to update to the development version I have not seen any tuning problems since. I do have one question. If doing a "match text" function are the matches case sensitive?

By chance would there be a way to use the custom config option to connect to the Spectrum app on my Onn stick (Google TV), to restore my local ABC? I was successful in using it to get MSNBC (MNNOW) app to launch. I have an external encoder.

Do you know if the Spectrum App responds to Deep Links?

Sadly there is no Spectrum app for Google TV. If I suggested as such, I misspoke.

So, I am trying to install ADBTuner to use FDL with. I've got the endpoint correct, on Android 11, but the Availability is grayed and not blue.

I also didn't get any virtual channels thru Project One click.

Suggestions appreciated.

Good progress. It'll be blue when there's an active stream -- gray is fine with no active stream, when the other two are green.

Let's thread jump again, and go here to start figuring out what needs to be done next:

I'll read and digest the thread and see if I can get it going. Wednesday's are my busiest day so could be Thursday before I start execution. I'll post back if I have questions. Thanks for the pointer.

BTW (off topic), ah4c has been rocking the Olympics utilizing all 3 Osprey's.

I am trying to use my MediaMTX and my BlackMagic Quad Decklink.
I am currently getting the following error and trying to figure out what it may be looking for

Does your http link above work in VLC @megamanx?

Just a quick PSA. For those looking at getting Onn 4K Plus boxes (or any Onn box really), they have been very low or absent in stock lately. This is somewhat related to an exodus from FireTV sticks after Amazon's lock down.

Does this mean that Amazon disabled use of ADB or something that would prevent using it with ADBTuner?

@JT-DFW Just sharing a trend for those in this thread who rely on cheap streamers for tuners. Onn 4K stock has been spotty.

https://www.aftvnews.com/walmart-struggles-to-keep-its-onn-streaming-boxes-in-stock-as-customers-abandon-amazon-fire-tv-in-droves/

I'm not aware of any impact to ADB on FTV devices right now. Seems the Amazon recent changes focus on piracy. Just wanted to share for anyone getting into ADBT, looking to buy some streamers soon.

I have heard that new ONN boxes are being released.

That one does not but the m3u8 link does work in VLC but it does not show anything when I hit view in ADBTuner

The error message indicates that it’s redirecting to /hdmi4/ with the trailing slash at the end (you are using /hdmi4 when it should be /hdmi4/). What happens if you use that URL? I don’t know anything about MediaMTX, but it looks like it supports MPEG-TS streams so make sure you use whatever URL maps to that format.

It is not case-sensitive.

Did you ever figure this out? I don’t know much about Portainer.

Just a feature request, hopefully not too hard to implement because it's just an ADB command. It would be great if we could get a reboot button for our Android boxes.

Once in a while my Ospreys will get stuck and I'll have to run ADB reboot and it would be great to do that through ADB Tuner.

That can be quite useful indeed. I only had to reboot one of my sticks once but a lil less of a headache than using adblink and doing it from there

I agree! That would be a very nice feature.

In the mean-time, I have my tuners connected to this:

I just have ADB keys saved on my computer and a reboot script.

I'm not bright enough to know how to do that. My solution is not quite as sophisticated.
