Can I record Fire Stick's live tv channels with Channels DVR?

Hi. I apologize for this newbie question, but I can't figure it out:
Can I record Fire Stick's live tv channels with Channels DVR? That is, can I use my Prime membership in any way to have Fire's channels as a source for Channels DVR recording to my NAS?

Thank you!
Tom

No. Those are proprietary to the device and are not open for integrating with.

Possibly you can with ABD Tuner or the USB capture

You can using the ah4c project. However, I would not rate this as a "newbie" endeavor -- plus it requires an HDMI encoder. It can, and has been done though.

Thanks everyone.

I'm looking to record streamed stations using Channels DVR. What's my best bet?

Playon Cloud does a good job of recording a lot of different streaming services. You can search this forum and check out the main support page Playon Cloud How To

Thanks, Bobby! I just subscribed for a year of Home, on your recommendations.

Will it record to the Channels DVR as a source?

I had bad results with the home version. You can use the cloud version and only buy credits. I’ll look in just a few minutes and find the post that explains it better. I just use the cloud version and have it download into Channels.

They will give your home purchase back for like 30 days if you ask them. It isn't an actual source, it downloads into a Playon directory and shows up as either tv shows or movies in channels.

Here is the link I was thinking of. There are other posts on the forums that offer more info.
