There is an option under the settings to have it display in both sections.
It doesn't actually move the physical file though.

Do you guys plan to add a feature to add our own TV shows too?
I agree that the Android guide layout is much better, with it stretching across the whole screen. But we do need the time on the screen and/or the indicator mark!
I agree with the time display also, it would be super helpful to have it show on the guide and maybe the info timeline when watching a show. My current work around is to hold the TV button like you would if you were shutting the Apple TV off. It will display the time in the upper right corner - you can just back out of it and resume Channels.
New build out:
The iOS commercial editor is very intriguing!! I let you know my feedback shortly. Thanks for your efforts.
Getting two of every channel listed in the guide view (favourites) on both iOS and tvOS with this latest release
That’s very odd. Nothing in this new build touched anything that would cause something like that.
Weird. It happens in all guide views and there are varying numbers of copies of each channel from one to at least four by the looks of it. Disabling one of my two tuners in settings makes no difference. Was fine with last night’s build.
Thank you all! Noticed a bug/suggestion with the "up Next" autoplay feature.
Say you have a 30 minute episode recording, and the last three minutes of the episode are all commercials (commercials that are detected by the recording). When the up next and commercial skip settings are both enabled, Channels will still play through the last minutes of commercials until the very last seconds of the recording, and then the "up next" box will appear. Can that be tweaked so that the player recognizes that the last 3 minutes of a recording are all commercials, and that the episode can end at the 27 minute mark instead?
This is by design as the commercial indexing isn’t 100% perfect. We don’t want to end the show prematurely.
The good news is, if the commercials are verified, it WILL do what you expect, since the system has confirmation that they’re correct.
And even better news, we just shipped a way to do this on iOS in the latest build
I noticed on my 2018 iPad Pro that when I am in the commercial editor, if I scroll all the way to the bottom, the clips are showing black boxes. It looks like the DVR server is slowly, and I do mean slowly, populating the clips in order from beginning to end of the show.
I love the simplistic view and function of the commercial editor
Yes, the thumbnails are created on the fly. So depending on your hardware, they might trickle in.
DVR is a 2018 mac mini, connected to USB3.0 drive for storage. Gigabit ethernet to mac and 5ghz wifi for ipad.
iOS: Just noticed the peek-and-pop (or whatever it is called nowadays) functionality. Love it!
Fixed itself magically overnight. Very odd.
It would be helpful to provide a summary at the end of the commercial editing. Sometimes it is hard to understand just how much you have cut and want to make sure the duration seems reasonable.

Also, I have a recording where the commercial detection didn't work and it has flagged the whole recording as a show and thus no "verify commercial" menu option available.
New build out:
This has been in the iOS client forever, and it’s nitpicking, but I thought I’d mention it. If you’re watching something, and somebody calls, when the call finishes, the playback doesn’t resume. Also, the “play” button is actually showing as a “pause” button, even though it’s not playing. Screenshot:
Just something that could use a little polish. No idea how tough it would be to address, not a high priority.
