I’ve got an odd issue. We’ve got an Amazon Echo Show 15 which has Fire TV built into it. The Channels app works fine but occasionally we’ve had the TV just start randomly playing one of the channels in the app (even when the Fire TV is on the main Fire TV menu).
Just wondering if anyone else has seen that or has any ideas?
Android is a multitasking OS. If you leave something running in the background, it may continue to run. On Google TV devices which are also Android, the OS tells the app that it's no longer running and that results in the app pausing. When I first set up Channels DVR, I did a shoot out between Fire TV and Chromecast with Google TV. I'm running Chromecast with Google TV for many reasons.
Hell, I just found out my TV turns on when the doorbell rings.
Not related, but strange things can and do happen.
