Crash on first run after updating beta app

After I installed the latest beta v2021.11.19.0313 and reopened the app, I left the Settings page open for about 30 seconds of inactivity, and the app crashed and exited. This is on a Fire TV Stick 4K.

This has happened with most of the last eight or so beta versions, crashing fairly consistently on just the first post-install run, usually within seconds of opening the app. (Once the app is opened again, all is well until the next beta update is installed and run for the first time.) I've submitted crash diagnostics in the past each time I noticed this happen. Also, the crash occurs regardless of whether the just-updated app is opened from the home screen or if Open is pressed directly from the "installation complete" dialog.

This happens on vanilla Android TV here, I don't even give it a second thought, simply restarting the app is good enough.

So the newly installed app opens, shows preparing your TV, then goes to the Settings tab. And shortly thereafter it crashes?

I am unfortunately not seeing any indications of the crash in the logs I've seen so far.

Just for the most recent crash described above, yes, that was the sequence of events.

However, if I recall correctly, for most other past crashes, the newly installed app opened to black for a split-second and immediately crashed. I don't recall exactly, but it's also possible that the app loading had gotten a bit further and shown "Preparing your TV" for a few seconds, and then crashed right before it displayed the UI.

Have you seen the following logs? I went digging back in the DVR server logs, and found four diagnostic log submissions that I'm fairly certain are from Android beta client crashes:
