DiIfferent channels pulling from the same source?

I have an antenna AND a few local feeds of the same OTA network. I have the local OTA network and a one from a different city. Last night, we had some weather that was interfering w my antenna, so I switched to one of the other channels. For some reason, the server was pulling the same video feed instead of pulling the feel from the alternate source.

How do I ensure that different channel nos use different sources?

I made sure the "Local Networks via TV Everywhere " is on and "De-duplicate HDHomeRun Channels" is ticked off (as am I).

You can do this with an advanced pass specifying the channel yet an easy way to do this for all recordings is to go into sources and mark the channel that you want to record from as a faverate.

This is not an issue related to recordings, but rather the particular video feed the server is using for the DIFFERENT channels.

When do you see the issue where you want a different source?

However, the "other" channel was still using my antenna, despite the channel being part of a different "Source", i.e., TVE, instead of my HDHR.

TVE is over the Internet and dose no use your antenna

Are you watching live or recording when this happens?

Live.

For live, go to the guide and then scroll down to the channel you want to watch. If there is more than one instance of the channel from multiple sources, you will need to identify the source you want to watch by the channel number.

When you define sources, you can define the starting channel number for each source. For each source use a channel number that will be larger than the previous and to keep it easy you can increment by thousands or ten thousands. This will make it easy to identify each channels' source. For example broadcast 1-500 and TVE 1000 and up.

You must be a bot, b/c your responses show that you are not comprehending the description of the issue.

LOL, is this what is happening?

You want to watch a specific show. You receive the show from multiple sources. For example two NBC stations in different cities both via your HDHomeRun using an antenna. Do you have more than one HDHomeRun? You also mentioned TVE. Is this show also showing on a TVE source?

What client app/device is this on?

I see it on my GoogleTV streamer, but I have also seen it on other AndroidTVs.

I have the same issue. If I switch to the next identical channel with the Channel +- keys on my remote, Channels will stay on the same feed. If I exit to the guide, then select the feed I want, it works as expected.

How are you switching the channels?

By going back to the guide, then finding a different, e.g., CBS.

Last night, we wanted to watch the NCAA Selection show. Due to the storm, the OTA CBS was not coming in. So, I switched to a TVE version - from a different city - and it continued to show the same OTA feed.

Are you sure the TVE feed is working? If it's not, Channels will automatically switch to another that is.

A test related to this: Unplug the network cable from your HDHomeRun. Now try playing the station as you have been. Also with the HDHomeRun off line, try going directly to the TVE station in the guide. What results do you get?

Network cable pulled from HD Homerun. Tuned to local channel...... the basketball game is on, but I have no idea where it is pulling the feed from.

EDIT: From watching the local commercial, I figured out its pulling from the very next CBS in my guide.

What is the source of that next CBS?

A custom channels source.
