FOX 6002 in Austin, TX via YTTV
So what is the source of that, Fox TVE ch6002 (KTBC Fox 7) or an HDHR tuner ch7-1 (KTBC Fox 7)
Working here Live News Stream: Watch FOX 7 Austin
Sorry, have been having HDHomeRun problems and it was on my brain.
Source is YTTV.
Only one TVE Fox station works afaik. The one in New York.
The one for Washington DC also works, just for primetime and sports (but it's been like that for a couple of years).
I would strongly suggest looking for alternatives.
Did NYC stop working?
No. WNYW is working fine for me right now.
+1
Rescanning fixed it. I got nervous for a sec
So just for grins I re-enabled local TVE in channels to get Fox TV Orlando (WOFL) in my TVE source and it does come up in a scan, but when I try to tune I get a 403 forbidden invalid access key error instead of stream having technical difficulties.
So I'm wondering if it's working again but it's something that Channels needs to change, doing a search here I've seen fixes made in the past for the 403 errors.
Reports of Fox WNYW still working
Does anyone else still get their Local Fox via TVE?
So, I’ve been having a bit of trouble getting my local fox KDFX on TVE. Can you believe it? The local channel on TVE is actually Palm Springs! And guess what? The affiliate I watch is actually in Los Angeles. Talk about a strange twist!
Mine went away a few weeks ago.
Is it an actual Fox station or the local news and 24 hour weather. The support for nearly every Fox station went away a long time ago. Only the New York Fox station was left standing and now it looks like that is gone too.
No, it's not gone yet. We had a little scare this morning but it got fixed later in the day.
As I type this message, I have WNYW (FOX5 New York) TVE on in Channels and it matches my DirecTV feed.
So it's still working for now.
Yep. Quick rescan and it showed back up.
Is there a way for us to get the 6002 Fox for WNYW if we live elsewhere?
But keep the ABC-6001 and CBS-6003 for our local station.
I don't think you can do both.
It's complicated because some networks use your IP location, and some networks use your TV provider account to check where you subscribe from (which might be different than your actual location at any moment).
I'll just leave it at that.
You probably need an IP address like the above poster said. I'm accessing WNYW from Florida cable tv subscription (Blue Stream), so they don't seem to care much about the location of your TV provider.
I live in SW CT w/ Optimum for internet and the only station I haven't been able to authenticate is WTNH (ABC 8), which only allows 3 specific cable TV subscribers to watch their online broadcasts.
