No, it's not gone yet. We had a little scare this morning but it got fixed later in the day.
As I type this message, I have WNYW (FOX5 New York) TVE on in Channels and it matches my DirecTV feed.
So it's still working for now.
Yep. Quick rescan and it showed back up.
Is there a way for us to get the 6002 Fox for WNYW if we live elsewhere?
But keep the ABC-6001 and CBS-6003 for our local station.

I don't think you can do both.
It's complicated because some networks use your IP location, and some networks use your TV provider account to check where you subscribe from (which might be different than your actual location at any moment).
I'll just leave it at that.
You probably need an IP address like the above poster said. I'm accessing WNYW from Florida cable tv subscription (Blue Stream), so they don't seem to care much about the location of your TV provider.
I live in SW CT w/ Optimum for internet and the only station I haven't been able to authenticate is WTNH (ABC 8), which only allows 3 specific cable TV subscribers to watch their online broadcasts.
did a rescan during MLS game and it seemed to take, but still cant access the stream.....

It may authenticate, but the stream doesn't always work.
I usually see this error in the DVR log when trying to stream.
[ERR] Failed to start stream for ch6002: TVE: Stream Temporarily Unavailable
Sometimes it works (rarely), most of the time it doesn't.

Appears that only the NY Fox station WNYW (FOX5 New York) still works.

I know for a while I could even watch things in 4K now I can’t watch them at all?
FOX TVE is quite unstable. If you can get a better source, probably best to use it.

I take it the previous 175 posts will contain how to obtain a better source into Channels.....
The manner in which used to get a feed of specific channels iwll depend on how much effort it is worth.

it was working a bit in the fall....now it doesn't even show up as an option

Seems to have lost WNYW local NYC Fox on TVE after update to 7/22/25 release..... Amy way to downgrade??
If you are on linux you can just change the symlink in the /channels-dvr directory to point to an earlier build. See my screenshot below, you just change the latest simlink dir to one of the date folders above. Then restart the server.
I dont use Windows so if that is your OS, i cant help you.
Same for me, no more WNYW in the channel list.

I just logged in to fox.com with my DirecTV credentials and I don't see any links to watch live TV.
I'm wondering if it's related to their upcoming FOX One service: Fox One - stream all your favorite news, sports, and entertainment
I logged in to the Fox local app and can go straight to the WNYW feed So at least thats available for now
