How many developers did SageTV have? What did they achieve in about 6 or 7 years?

Give it up already. You have a choice.
If you like Sage so much, then use it.
I liked TiVo, but its time has passed.
I like Channels DVR because it can be tweaked and extended.

I wouldn't be so passionate about it, if I thought it wasn't worth it.
