March Madness Recording

I want to set up a March Madness pass. What is the series ID for this?

Or any other criteria to capture them.

I've tried setting up an Advanced Pass for "2026 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament" with the four channels and with Tag contains "Playoffs" and "Basketball" and a couple other things and have gotten no matches.

I just set one up using this process for multiple channels with no other tags or parameters and got 23 matches. Since the guide data currently is pretty generic, any additional tags at this point won't "match" such as teams.

191260

I saw the 191260 (and 191292 for the women) SeriesID cropped up last night after I got a recording under the belt - thanks. It's the same for the regular season, which surprised me.

The problem I'm going to have is that I'll have to refresh the guide data each morning. An even greater problem is that ESPN is not updating the women's games so they'll have the same metadata (so far).

Anyone have a better way?

That's pretty much what I'm going with.

Any idea for the women - as I'm getting a whole lot of duplicate Event Titles, "First Four: Teams TBA".

Try this

SeriesID == 191292
Title CONTAINS NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament
Categories CONTAINS Sports event
Tags == Live

And you would have to keep refreshing guide data to get updates from Gracenote since CDVR only updates once every morning. So you'll probably get lots of recordings with Teams TBA

I wonder why Gracenote hasn't updated their data for today, then. It still says "First Four: Teams TBA" for the event title. This will result in dublicate events having to be recorded.

And CDVR doesn't make it easy to do that.
The DVR is only as good as the guide data...

I remember this issue coming up a couple years ago.

I just check the Gracenote schedule at TV Listings- Find Local TV Listings and Watch Full Episodes

Then reloaded the guide info in Channels

So Gracenote is slow to update and Channels is slow to update from Gracenote.
Still.

Apparently, Gracenote isn't the only one who's slow. I'm having difficulty with YouTube TV and Xfinity TVE also.

Yep - seeing same here - TBAs on channels when Gracenote has clearly updated now.

We’ve got Gracenote looking into it.

Looks better after a delete and recreate db this morning

Gracenote has resolved the issue. Routine guide updates that happened this morning should have fixed everyone's data.
