You need to click on the “123 channels” link on your DVR web UI and favorite some channels first.

I have the same problem. When I open Channels on the AFTV it just spins saying “Searching for Channels DVR”. Has eventually found it twice. Tried unchecking/rechecking Bonjour check box on DVR settings. Both Win7 laptop with DVR and AFTV stick are on same network.

Does the DVR list more than one ip under the Bonjour checkbox?

If the app is able to find the DVR only sometimes then it sounds like a bad/unreliable network connection between the DVR and AFTV.

Not sure what was causing this but noticed that Bonjour was taking forever to load after Channels DVR was started and everything else was up and going. Ended up having to re-load the 127.0.0.1 channels DVR web page and once re-loaded I could start the app on the AFTV and would find DVR immediately.

I would like to try the firetv app along with channels DVR. I have been using my firetv with Kodi and mythtv and would like to migrate to channels app.
