But 576p is native resolution for broadcast TV in the UK, which actually does have a benefit. Transcoding from 576 to 480 is ugly.

Iām now having an issue with remote access in the last 3 test flight builds. I canāt watch any live HD channels at all while away from home. I can revert back to any build pre 10-1 and it works without issue.

Correction, it hasnāt worked since the 9-26 Build. I believe the 9-30 Build changed the transcoder.
Iām a bit new to the remote app for IOSā¦I tried it today using a very strong Starbucks-Google wifi in excess of 50 megabits down and I could not get a watchable video streamā¦where do I set the stream rate for the remote appā¦btw, my QNAP TS-653 Pro is a very powerful hardware
accelerated beast and I have COX internet at home with at least 3 megabits upload capability so theoretically I have all the pieces I need for the remote app to work; Emby & Plex work fine for me remotely at bit rates of 3-6 bit at 720P

Both Live and Recorded showsā¦I knew of the transcoder setting on the server setting s tabā¦wasnāt sure if this applied to the remote clientā¦in most cases Iām familiar with the remote client sets the playback bit rateā¦Iāll try setting the stream down and redo my testā¦thanks
Thereās a streaming rate setting in the iOS app Settings tab.
My Badā¦didnāt RTFMā¦sorryā¦plain as day in the settings on the iOS appā¦works great for me at 480P 1 Mbitā¦will try higher stream rates and get back to youā¦Iām using aa 128GB iPod touch (not an iPhone) for a playback deviceā¦great work, BTW; I took a 6 month break from channels and just came back only a couple days agoā¦you guys have made giant strides in that timeā¦KUDOS

The two iOS betas released this week seem to have killed my ability to watch Picture in Picture on the iPad Pro. The button is there, but when tapped starts to load but the PiP window never appears. Had to roll back to the October 3 build to get it back. Any ideas?
Newest Testflight build, server 2017.10.05.2234, Win 10. When remotely playing a recording (software transcoding, 720p, 4mbps) stream stops every few minutes. Hit āDoneā and āWatchā again, stream restarts, then stops again after a few minutes, and so on. Not much info in log (what is āPausing transcoderā? Never hit pauseā¦):

Transcoder pauses after 5 minutes of buffer is built upā¦ it should resume but itās Stopping for some reason.
iOS 11.0.1 It does not happen with Live TV, just recorded shows.
(Same behavior on tvOS)
For what itās worth, the transcoding paused periodically when watching a recorded show on my Mac through the web interface last night. Looking at the log I recall it said āTranscoding pausedā when it happened. Seemed to happen in that 5 min time range. I found I had to stop and then restart the video to resume.
Oh yeah that would be helpful, wouldnāt it? 
The latest 11.0.2, and now Iām also experiencing the same āpaused buffer when playing back recorded showsā as uspino, which wasnāt happening before. (Same 10.3.243 build.)
Iām not able to reproduce the hang after few minutes of recorded playback. If you hit the issue, click Submit Diagnostics on the Settings tab and then post here that you did.
Just want to say that with the latest beta, viewing live tv remotely is smooth as butter! It used to hang every five seconds and now it is gold. Now I officially can stop using plex for remote streaming of live tv! Great work guys!
